Tennis lessons end

Over 200 children have been attending the Hillsborough club every Saturday morning in what has become Ulster’s largest juvenile and junior coaching series.

The weather was kind to everyone over the ten weeks as the children had fun learning the basics of tennis from specialist qualified coaches, including new Head Coach of Downshire Ross McCarey.

The final day on Saturday saw Mervyn Shannon attend to present prizes of watches to the winning teams on the day and distribute goody bags for everyone who took part.

The club has a number of tennis summer schemes and coaching boot camps for children and adults throughout July and August. Anyone interested can contact Ross McCarey on 07841102494.
