Hilden took six points when they beat Comber by 43 shots in Senior Two on Saturday.

After starting with four, Colin Montgomery was 12-13 down at the tenth and 19-21 at 15 ends, but Hilden finished with five, one, one to win by two shots.

A three helped Maurice Kirkwood to 13-5 at the tenth and a four made it 20-6 at 15 ends. Another three enabled Hilden to win by 17 shots.

Two threes helped Raymond Gourley to a 16-2 lead at the tenth and 22-2 at 15 ends. Hilden, with new signing David McElroy at third finished with a six to win by 31 shots.

Down 7-10 at the tenth and 15-16 at 19 ends, Jonathan McMullan lost by seven shots.

Valley get their first win

Lagan Valley got their first win of the season, an impressive home success by 38.5 shots against Rathfriland B, from which they took six points in Division Five.

Though lifting four, John Houston was level 9-9 at the tenth, but three at 15 ends put him 17-9 up and three at the last end gave Valley a 13 shots win.

Three threes gave Brett Kirk a 16-6 lead at the tenth and a four made it 24-8 at 15 ends. Valley added another four at the last end to win by 22 shots.

Down 4-15 at the tenth and 8-19 at 15 ends, Jim Kinkead lost by 6.75 shots after the opposition were quartered.

Down 6-8 at the tenth but 14-10 ahead at 15 ends, Gary Stubbs added a three to win by 10.25 shots after Rathfriland were quartered.

David is Malone’s only winner

David Nelson got the only win for Malone when they lost by 19 shots at home to Knock in Senior 3 Three.

Nelson was 9-8 up at the tenth but 15-16 down at 15 ends. Malone lifted a six at 18 ends and won by eight shots.

Down 4-16 at the tenth and 11-17 at 15 ends, Brian Carson lost by ten shots.

At the tenth, Eric Mairs was 7-10 down and 8-16 at 15 ends before losing by eight shots.

Down 4-11 at the tenth and 6-18 at 15 ends Terry Monro lost by nine shots.
