Priesthill hit back well to beat Social

Priesthill hit back from seven shots down at the interval to shock Hillsborough Social with a five shots win and six points in Section A of the Roy Kennedy Fuels Indoor Bowling League.

The defeat leaves Social 16.5 points behind Ballinderry who took seven points off St Paul’s, despite Social beating Ballinderry a week earlier.

There were also shocks for Derriaghy and St Clare’s in Section B and C respectively. Catch up with the details below,

Robert Sloan was 4-1 up at the fourth but Roy Kennedy levelled 5-5 with an end left before getting the winning shot.

Rob Kennedy started with a three but a five and three meant Nathan Haire was 8-7 up at the sixth and he finished with five, one, one to win by eight shots.

At the sixth Sid Heazley was 6-2 up and after Nick Haire lifted a single Priesthill finished with two fours to win by 11 shots.

Michael Beattie started with three singles but Ian Ferguson was 4-3 ahead at the sixth. Social added two singles but Priesthill finished with a double to win by a shot.
