Resolve to carry on in face of terrorist attacks

The first week of January 1977 saw the Ulster Star report continuing terrorist assaults on the business and social life of the community in Dunmurry, where bombs severely damaged seven shops and destroyed the golf club.

But in the midst of clearing-up operations, the paper continued, victims were adamant in their resolve to get back to normal as soon as possible.

One trader spoke of her heartbreak at watching her business go up in flames.
