Noel ends his time as an international

Noel Graham has announced his retirement in international bowls, which has spanned a career of 24 years.

The Lisnagarvey bowler was first capped by Ireland back in 1991 and played on every Irish team since then before deciding the n2014 season was to be his last.

He has given magnificent service to Ireland and finished up captaining the team.

He will, of course, continue to play for Lisnagarvey at club level.

Lisnagarvey have two players on the Irish team to play in the international series at the end of June, Neil Mulholland and new cap, Scott Jess.

Former Hilden player, Stephen Kirkwood, now playing at Old Bleach, also earns his first full international cap.

Three Garvey players helped the NIBA to second place at the Inter Association Series in Coleraine two weeks ago.

The Provincial Association won the title on shots difference to the NIBA and the Garvey trio were Philip Cromie, Neil Mulholland and Scott Jess.
