The 23-year-old has hung up his leathers and is instead focusing in his new tyre business, Tyre Tech.

Tim says his decision came about after ‘losing a lot of friends to the sport’, and the local racer decided to take on other challenges in life.

“I am just running my own business now,” Tim explained. “There are more things I want to do in life.

“I have lost a lot of friends to the sport and seen families torn apart by it,

“I have a girlfriend now and I want to focus on her and my family.

“I’ve had the experience and I’ve enjoyed it, but I’ve moved on.

“I can always say I’ve been there and done it, I won’t look back when I’m older and have any regrets.”

And is there any experience in particular that Tim enjoyed most whilst racing?

“Probably going to America and racing there in the AMA,” Tim said.

“I’d like to thank all of my supporters and sponsors for all their help throughout the years,” Tim added.
