Friends’ swim to medals aplenty at Ulster Gala

Swimmers from Friends’ School recently competed in the Ulster Secondary Schools’ Swimming Gala with great success.

All pupils participated exceptionally well with the results as follows:

The Friends' junior boys relay team of Philip Cox, Jack Fleming, Jamie Allison and Paul Cox won gold in the medley relay and bronze in the freestyle relay.

Christopher Loan won silver in the Intermediate 100m Backstroke and 5th in the 100 Freestyle.

Craig Boyce won bronze Intermediate 100 Freestyle.

Alexandra Hunter won silver in the Open 400m Freestyle.

Victoria Hunter won silver in the Junior 200m Individual Medley and came fourth in the Junior Freestyle final.

The Friends' junior girls relay team of Abbie Crookshanks, Zoe Dickey, Namona Teggart and Victoria Hunter also won gold in the medley relay and silver in the freestyle relay.

Jamie Allison won bronze in the Junior Butterfly final and silver in the Junior 200m Individual Medley.

Philip Cox reached the Junior Boys backcrawl final.

In the relay events the Junior boys team of Jack Fleming, Philip Cox, Paul Cox and Jamie Allison won gold in the Medley relay and bronze in the freestyle relay.

The Junior girls team of Zoe Dickey, Victoria Hunter, Namona Teggart and Abbie Crookshanks also won gold in the Medley relay and silver in the freestyle relay.
