Fresh from her wins in the Alpha Easter tournament, Chloe Woods partnered her sister Paige to win the Leinster Easter Tournament Under 11 girls doubles when they beat Neasa and Siofra Flynn in a close three-setter.
Having got off to a great start, and taken a one set advantage 21-8, their opponents were to level 12-21 but the Alpha youngsters came back strongly to clinch the title 21-13.
It was not all glory though for Chloe as she was to be beaten in the semi-final by eventual champion Sophia Noble 21-13 21-3 while Jack Armstrong and Jack Livingstone were knocked out in the Under 13 Boys singles by Evan Byrne 21-15 21-16 and eventual champion Peter McDonald 21-13 21-18 respectively.
Jack Armstrong and Peter McDonald have been the most successful partnership in the age group this season and they were to add the Leinster title to their tally when they defeated Jack Livingstone and Sean Patrick Laureta 22-20 21-13 in the final while Livingstone was to give runners-up Michael Staunton and Orla Flynn a few things to think about in their clash when the Alpha player teamed up with Megan McLoughlin in the mixed quarter-final.
Livingstone and McLoughlin took the opening set 21-19 only to lose the next two 21-11 21-14.
