Lisburn Golf Club members earn a spot at Irish golf's Champions' Dinner

Six Lisburn members had the privilege of attending Irish golf's Champions' Dinner at Carton House last Friday.

This event celebrates the victories of Irish individual champions, team champions and International champions.

Aaron Marshall and Josh Robinson, two members of Lisburn Golf Club’s victorious Irish Junior Foursomes team, joined the Lisburn Captain Ken Haslem, Andrew Crawford, Ivor McCandless and Past Captain John Boyd at the celebrations.

The Walker Cup, which was won by the GB and Ireland team, was on display.

Three of the five Irish members of the team were present.

The guest speaker was Gavin Caldwell, the Captain of the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews.

He is a member of Portmarnock Golf Club and the third Irishman to be Captain of the R&A.
