Hilden have a pointless week

Hilden had a pointless week in Private Greens Division 2, losing away to Falls in midweek and going down by 47 shots at home to Mossley on Saturday.

Down 4-16 at the tenth and 8-20 at 15 ends Keith Morrison lost by 18 shots.

Raymond Gourley was 7-9 down at the tenth and 10-14 at 15 ends but came back to lead 17-16 with two ends, but Hilden dropped a single and a double to lose by two shots.

At the tenth Jonathan McMullan was 10-13 down after lifting a five and 17-24 at 15 ends before losing by 11 shots.

Down 10-15 at the tenth and 14-24 at 15 ends Colin Montgomery lost by 16 shots despite getting a three at the last end.

Hilden bowed out of the Private Greens Senior Cup when they lost at home to Ewarts by eight shots in the second round.

They had three winners though.

Last Tuesday night Hilden failed to get a point away to Falls in Private Greens Division 2.

Hilden B earned five points from a six shots win away to Cavehill B in Private Greens Division 5.

Hugh Murray was their main winner - by nine shots and Robin Campbell won by eight shots in a game between two rinks of three.

Drew Harron had a tight game but lost by two shots and Max McClean lost by nine shots.
