Great turnout for opening round

SATURDAY saw a great turnout for the first round of the winter league at Islandderry Fishery.

Some of the anglers kept in the spirit of Halloween and arrived in fancy dress adding to the craic.

A lot of quality trout were caught with the average weight being weighed around 4lb8. Noel Roberts, Portadown kicked of the league well taking first place with a three fish bag weight of 14lb8 which included a lovely fish of 6lb8.
