The early birds catch the worms as Dawnbreakers dominate

Last Saturday, the Dawnbreakers dominated the prizes at Dunmurry with four of their members in the top five of the Coronation Cup.

Outright winner was 18 handicapper Clifford Houston with a magnificent 43 points.

Gary Toner, also playing off 18, returned 42 points. He had a great back nine of 22 points but he will regret an eight at the par five fourth which ultimately cost him victory.

In third spot was Paul Watters (11) who had a great front nine picking up 22 points.

Fourth and fifth spots went to Liam McCartney and Hugh Robinson, both returning 40 points with Liam clinching fourth spot on count-back.

The gross prize went to Darren Crowe (+2) with a magnificent four under par 66. Darren was in top form and amassed six birdies, at the 4th, 6th, 8th, 9th, 11th and 16th.
