Michael’s men secure a perfect first leg result in the Rossmore Cup

Michael Harrison’s side put in a great performance last Sunday (21st June) against Kilkeel in their first leg match. They produced some sterling golf to win all four matches in a whitewash result.

First team out, William and Reece Wilson had a fantastic three and two win.

They were followed home by second pairing Danny Montgomery and William Blyth, who ground out a two and one win against a very good Kilkeel duo.

Michael McCormack and Michael Patmore battled to a two and one victory having been losing in the early holes.

Last pair out was Maurice Wilkinson and Kevin Smylie. They also came from behind to secure victory with Kevin drilling home two fantastic putts on the 16th and 17th greens to complete the two and one win. All is looking good for Michael’s men to secure a safe route through to the next round but, as every golfer knows, the match isn’t over until it’s over.
