The winner in 2013 was Mrs Gil Colvin, the lady Vice-Captain with 39 points. In second place was Hazel Henderson 37 pts and Margaret Boyd in third with 35 pts. The Gross Prize was won by Janice Wallace.

The Lady Captain then introduced Mr Paul Grant, father of Paula and Laura, the most successful juveniles and young players ever to emerge from Lisburn ladies branch.

Paul brought the ladies up to date with how the girls have been performing on the amateur circuit and their plans for the forthcoming summer. All the ladies in Lisburn feel so proud of the Grant sisters and appreciate how the profile of Lisburn GC has been enhanced through their association with them.

Paul and his wife Bernie, paid tribute to the juvenile convenors who have supported and encouraged the girls, with special mention for Annette Megarry and Anne Shane.

As a mark of their appreciation to the club they presented a new trophy to be played for by the juvenile girls each year in the all prize day event in August.

On behalf of the club Mrs Anne Shane thanked Paul and Bernie for the beautiful silver jug and hoped this would spur their thriving juvenile girls section on to even bigger and better things.
