Ladies junior foursomes continue winning ways
The Lisburn Ladies Junior Foursomes team continued their winning ways with a win over Ballycastle last week.
The Lisburn team consisting of Maureen Bryson, Amy Jeffers, Barbara Hawkins, Sharon Stewart, Margaret Rosbotham and Bernie Mc Donald had an unassailable lead of 3-0 and were 6 holes up after the home leg so only required a 1/2 match to win at the seaside course.
The team pulled out all the stops in the return leg with Maureen Bryson and Amy Jeffers winning 2 and 1 to secure the match overall.
Captain Janice Wallace said she was absolutely delighted with her team’s performance as Ballycastle is a very testing course and is now looking forward to playing Kilrea in the next round.
