Get me 20 goals Gary says boss Wright

GARY Liggett has been given a target of hitting 20 goals this season by Lisburn Distillery boss Tommy Wright.

The 24-year-old has notched up four goals already including what proved a crucial second to seal the first home win of the season against Glenavon last week.

“Gary is a powerful centre forward,” says Wright. “He is strong and can finish. I have told him he needs to score 20 goals this season and there is no reason why he cannot achieve that.

“Gary continues to work on his all round game and that will make him a better striker and team player.” Gary will be hoping he can find the net on Saturday when the Whites travel to Donegal Celtic who are five points ahead of the Whites thanks to a great start to the season having already beaten the likes of Glentoran, Crusaders and Portadown.

“Those are nine bonus points for Donegal Celtic and it has been a fantastic start for them. They have a great work ethic and make it very difficult for any team to get behind them. We go into the game unbeaten in three games and the aim is to keep that momentum going.

“The points are up for grabs in what could be a tight encounter.”
