Bowling in the men’s triples, Mulholland, along with skip Neil Booth and Paul Daly, lost out 19-10 to South Africa in the gold medal match but will be proud of their silver medal finish, having beaten Scotland 19-12 and Wales 20-12 along the way.

Neil has another chance to get gold in the Men’s Fours.

The medal is only NI’s second of the Games so far after Lisa Kearney won a bronze in judo.
