LISNAGARVEY B opened their season a week late and they took six points from a 25 shots home win over Queen’s Island in NIBA Division Four.

Down 2-8 at the eighth but 10-9 ahead at 15 ends Bobby Carroll lifted a three on his way to a five shots win.

After dropping three, five and four Phil Lavery was only 13-14 down at 11 ends and 14-19 at 15 ends but Garvey failed to score again and lost by 13 shots.

After starting with a five a three at the tenth gave Jim Chapman a 14-12 lead. A four helped Garvey to a 22-16 lead at 15 ends and they were 31-22 ahead at the finish. The opposition were quartered and Garvey won by 15 shots.

A three helped Alton Reid to a 13-3 lead at the tenth and another three made it 18-9 at 15 ends. A three and a six at 18 and 19 ends saw Garvey to a 18 shots win.
