The Mayor, Councillor Margaret Tolerton, attended the recent launch and said: “I am delighted that so many local sports clubs have come along to learn about the funding available to them. A lot of clubs operating at a local level receive limited funding and continually face the challenge of how to develop and sustain their growth.”

Chairman of the Council’s Leisure Services, Alderman Paul Porter, explained: “I wanted to create a document where local clubs and groups could reference the most up-to-date information on various funding streams and the funding brochure is something that will hopefully benefit all sports clubs.”
