Whites set to play Craig Bellamy Foundation side

Lisburn Distillery are delighted to announce that some very special guests from the Craig Bellamy Foundation from Sierra Leone in Western Africa will visit the club next month.

An LDFC Academy XI will take on a team from Sierra Leone’s only professional football Academy as part of their trip to Northern Ireland for this summer’s Milk Cup.

The game takes place at New Grosvenor Stadium, Ballyskeagh on Monday August 4, kicking off at 6.45pm and the club hope to see a big crowd to welcome their guests who have taken time out of a very busy schedule to take part in this special game.

Lisburn Distillery Academy wish to thank Sport Lisburn for supporting the upcoming Mini-Soccer Festival which takes place on Saturday August 2 as part of the club’s Fun Day & Health Fair from Lisburn Distillery, Glentoran, Hillsborough Boys, Andersonstown Celtic and Dromara Village at New Grosvenor Stadium, Ballyskeagh. Sport Lisburn have supported the event by awarding a small grant which will mean all players and teams taking part in the festival will receive medals to mark the occasion. Over a hundred players will be involved on the day.

Lisburn Distillery Academy are currently recruiting boys born in 2007 for their new Under 8 team for the new 2014/15 season.

There is an open training session for new players with a view to joining taking place at Laurelhill Playing Fields, beside Laurelhill Community College, tomorrow (Saturday July 19) between 10am & 11.30am.
