Lisburn Distillery will play their final match in NIFL Championship One when they travel to Larne tomorrow (Saturday).
The Whites played their final home match on Tuesday, suffering a 4-0 defeat by Institute.
The visitors started brightly, and the first goal arrived on 13 minutes when Brown beat the offside trap before slotting home.
Institute’s determination saw further dividends on 25 minutes as Whites defender Begley turned the ball into his own net.
Distillery had one decent effort when young forward Rhys Grainger fired a strong shot towards the goal only for it to be well gathered by Gallagher.
The home side had a great chance to pull a goal back at the start of the second half only for Roohi to fire over.
The third goal was going to be vital and it was the visitors who scored it on 77 minutes through McGinty. A late header from Scoltock made it 0-4.
A disappointing end to a massively disappointing season for Distillery, which has ended with relegation to the Premier Intermediate League. A new challenge lies ahead, here’s hoping it will signal a return to form for the club.
