Scandinavian Distillery supporters plan visit

THE Whites received an update this week from their friends in the Lisburn Distillery Scandinavian Supporters Club.

They continue to follow Distillery with great interest but for the first time they held a club meeting outside Northern Ireland. With the supporters spread around Scandinavia, business is usually conducted online and when they travel to Northern Ireland.

But that changed when the club met up for a great weekend at the end of September on the shore of the north coast of Sealand in Denmark. It was all about football with the guys watching five games in a row; three Premier League ties, followed by a La Liga game and as spokesman Jan Tholin put it – “the evening ended with the best match of them all – Distillery’s League Cup win against Portadown in 2011.”

And to finish on another good note the Lisburn Distillery Scandinavian Supporters Club are coming back again in the Spring and plan to be here for the Danske Bank home game against Portadown on Saturday March 23. The Whites will be delighted to meet up with them once again.
