It's a cup of cheer at last for Lisburn Junior League teams

The first round ties in the Lisburn Junior Invitational Cup competition brought cheer at last with only the second full round of fixtures since Christmas.

Out went Lisburn Distillery Youth in the 13s, but the 14s beat TW Braga 5-3 as Hillsborough Boys lost 3-5 to Chimney Corner Under 14s and 2-4 to Banbridge Town B in the U17s.

Lisburn Ladies Under-13s had a 6-0 win over Glenavy Youth.

Lisburn Rangers Youth beat Wakehurst Youth 3-1 and Downshire Youth lost 0-2 to Shield winners, Willowbank Youth in the Under 17 section.
