Fine comeback for U13’s

This week’s Lisburn Distillery Academy round up starts with the U-13 section where the Wee Whites came from 1-0 at half-time to beat local rivals Lisburn Youth 2-1, recent signing Matthew Swann and leading scorer Jamie Mamilton with the goals.

The U-15’s beat Lurgan Town for the second week in a row, 5-2 the score line this time.

It was a comprehensive 6-0 victory over Ballymena side North End for the U-14’s and the U-12’s improvement continued as they held Loughgall 2-2. It was back to the league action for the U-17’s after last week’s heroics in winning the Shield and it was no surprise to see goals from Rhys Grainger (2), Danny Hawe, Mark Owens and Scott Hunter secure a 5-2 win over Solway Stars.

The youth teams fine performances in friendly games continued with a 5-3 triumph over Donegal Celtic, a Newell hat-trick coupled with goals from Maginnes and McCullough were enough for victory on this occasion.

The U-10’s travelled to Portadown for a few friendly games of their own with Glenavon and Conall Cunningham produced a couple of excellent finishes to get his name on the score sheet, Matthew Moore and Jack Bonar also goals for the U-10’s Whites against the same opposition.
