Fine throwing in Dart Leagues

The Crows played Maghaberry A in a rearranged fixture in the First Blues Lisburn and District Dart League last weekend, with The Crows landing their doubles first for a 6-2 win.

Winning for The Crows were M. McCrystal (3x100), K. Kennedy (100, 140), J. Watton (100, 3x140, 17 darts), S. Farr (4x100, 140), T. Harbinson (100, 2x140, 21 darts) and D. Kay (21 darts).

Maghaberry A winners were P. Presho 93x100, 140, 19 darts) and A. Johnston (2x100).

Byrnes B got the better of McCrums with a 7-4 win when they met in the Second Division Cup.

Hitting the target for Byrnes were B. Humphrey’s (100), D. Moore, M. McClean, M. McCorry (2x100,121), C. Dynes (100), R. Patterson (100) and T. McKeown.

Replying for McCrums were C. Donald (3x100), A. Garrett (100, 140), S. Martin, D. Lynch.

Dunmurry Inn welcomed close neighbours Catch-My-Pal to the Inn before proceeding to beat them 7-4.

In so doing, Dunmurry are now in the final with one match still to play.

Dunmurry Inn winners were B. Elliott, G. Andrews, C. Orford, A. Jackson, N. Cummins (100), A. Hodgen and W. McCardle.

Winning for Catch-My-Pal were S. Wylie, D. McCrum, C. Berrill (100) and S. McCurley (100).

Manor Inn entertained Maghaberry B at the Highwayman and with some brilliant throwing ran out 8-3 victors.

Winning for Maghaberry B were C. Camblin (100), C. Beckett (123) and S. Bann (140).

Reids Corner suffered a 6-2 loss at home to Byrnes A in the preliminary match of the First Division Cup last weekend.

Hitting the target for Byrnes A were N. Dunwoody (3x100, 140), N. McCabe (3x100, 140), K. Campbell (2x100), N. Peden (2x100, 140), P. White (21 darts, 2x100, 140, 180) and S. Lennon (18 darts, 3x100).

Winning for Reids were D. Thompson (100) and W. Penny (18 and 20 darts, 2x100, 140).

• Last Friday saw the 3-a-side competition held in the Lisnagarvey Darts League.

The contest was sponsored by and held at Derriaghy Cricket Club and saw 32 teams playing to completion, where some magnificent darts were on display.

Winners were Highway A with Dunmurry A the runners up. Beaten semi finalists were Dunmurry C and Benmore B.
