Two wins for Cricket club Under 13’s

On Monday June 16, Lisburn U13s beat Armagh by 9 wickets in an entertaining match at The Mall.

Armagh hit hard after a slow start to finish on 93 with Jude Postlethwaite and Cameron McDowell the stars of the Lisburn bowling attack.

Nathan Doak (40 retired) and Michael Glass (35) had a superb opening partnership and Lisburn eased home, making it two wins from two in the league.

On Tuesday June 17, Lisburn U13s played a strong CSNI team in the 3rd round of the Banogue Cup.

Put in to bat, Lisburn’s openers had a steady start before the team accelerated well to set 113 for 2 in their 20 overs.

Lisburn’s bowling and fielding was sharp and they managed to restrict CSNI to 101 for 4 to win by 12 runs. Cameron McDowell, Matt Thornton and Michael Glass were the pick of the bowlers. Lisburn now play Carrick or Dundrum in the semi-final.
