They do so by virtue of two great wins over CSNI and CIYMS earlier in the season.

Only a defeat by North Down halted a clean sweep in their qualifying group and now they have a chance to play in the final, also on Saturday.

The Lisburn team, struggling in the Premier League seem to find the Twenty /20 competition more to their liking with the short format suiting the talent of professional Cody Chetty and Stevie Lazars along with Lisburn captain Adam Berry and Robert Rankin.

They have all contributed with big scores along the qualifying road with Chetty being outstanding with 90 against North Down and an unbeaten 60 against CSNI. He has a range of shots which fit well into the short game and he will again be the ‘key man’ when they face up to Carrick at 10.30am on Saturday morning in the Park.

If they are successful against Carrick they will travel to The Lawn in Waringstown to play in the final. The other semi-final is between Waringstown and North Down is at the Lawn at 11am. This could prove to another close match with the winners of the semi-finals playing off at 4p.m. for the Twenty/20 Cup.

Lisburn have a poor record in Twenty/20 competitions but with the ball striking talent within the side, a place in the final is highly possible and Lisburn are hoping for a victory which would boost their confidence and help them in their main cause which is to win league matches and lift themselves out of the threat of relegation.
