When Lisburn batted Michael Glass took the team immediately on the attack. He hit one 6 and seven 4s in an outstanding 44 before he was retired.

Nathan Doak held the team’s middle order together with a stylish 32. Matt Thornton followed his incredible catch earlier in the match with an equally amazing straight 6 to suddenly put Lisburn back on track for a famous victory.

However, he was run out next ball and ultimately the team fell just one short on 114 for 6.

It was one of the best all-round performances by the Lisburn U13s for many years, and sets the team up very well for their big cup match on Friday against Derriaghy and the rest of the league season.
