These two “traditional non-cricketing” schools have been very keen in learning the game of cricket.

Derriaghy Cricket Club duly obliged by sending in a number of their highly qualified coaches to encourage these children.

They recently played what is hoped will be an annual fixture at Queensway.

For many of the kids taking part in the match it was their first game of ‘hard ball’ cricket.

All of the Derriaghy coaches involved are proud of what these kids have achieved and the club hopes to see more progression in years to come. Well done to all of those at Forthill and Lisnagarvey and also to the team of coaches, who were led by Head Coach Wayne Hughes.
