Derriaghy draw Academy in Challenge Cup

The draw for the 2015 Ulster Bank Senior Challenge Cup was made recently by Stephen Cruise of the Ulster Bank and Billy Boyd President of the NCU.

Derriaghy were drawn at home in a preliminary round match against newly promoted Academy, which is due to take place on May 2.

The winners of this face a tasty home game against last year’s cup runners up Waringstown in the first round proper on May 16.

The winners of the other preliminary round match between Donaghcloney and Cliftonville will host CIYMS.

Holders Civil Service North will meet Ballymena in the first round.

In other cup draws Derriaghy, who are the current holders of the Intermediate Cup, will begin their defence of the trophy with a home tie against Lurgan.

Meanwhile the Third XI face local rivals Lisburn away in the first round of the Lindsay Minor competition.
