Comeback sees Garvey Sixths take the spoils

Garvey Sixths, needing a win, produced a superb comeback to beat visitors Ballymena Seconds by 7 goals to 4.

The situation was looking difficult just after half time when the Sixths trailed by 4 goals to 2.

Going a goal behind at a very early stage it took an equaliser from Darren Scott to get them back in the game but the experienced Ballymena team again forged ahead only for Mark Murray to bring his team back to parity at 2-2.

Ballymena grabbed two more goals leaving them leading comfortably by 4 goals to 2 but the stubborn Sixths were far from finished. Two goals from Matt Tyson brought Garvey back to 4-4 and then they finished the game with a flourish with three goals in the last 15 minutes. Finn Harkin, Frazer Rodgers and Darryl Scott all found the net to give the Sixths a remarkable win.
