McKay won 5-0 in his hard fought final beating Francis Baker (Repton) and Walker went down in a battle with English champion Billy Beer (Repton).

The boys were then selected to represent Antrim schoolboys at the Antrim v Galway clash. Walker won his final 7-1 giving his opponent a standing count. McKay went toe to toe with his opponent just doing enough to win by the tighest margin 7-6.

Another young boxer Jimmy Lavery (13) fought for an Ulster title at the weekend and he did not disappoint stopping his opponent in the final in the first round.

All of the best prospects from the club will be in action at the Fight Night at the British Legion Club on November 26 from 7.30pm.
