Lisburn Boxing Club hosts a special end of season show

Lisburn Boxing Club held their End of Season show on Friday June 7.

The surprise guest on the night was Brian Magee, the Super Middleweight champion, who presented the prizes.

A number of bouts were held throughout the night and the boxing was excellent and all the boys fought well.

Matthew Laverty won the Best Boxer of the night. Matthew beat Dan Flynn over three rounds. Flynn, from Hillview, gave Matthew a close fight but Laverty was too strong in the end.

During the night there were twelve contests of various weights and the Lisburn club did quite well overall.
