The Haringey Box Cup is well known for prestigious competitors such as 2012 Super Heavyweight Olympic Gold Medallist Anthony Joshua, 2012 Lightweight Olympic Gold Medallist Katie Taylor and 2012 Olympic Gold Medallist Nicola Adams.

The Box Cup is a major undertaking. Hundreds of boxers, British and international, at all levels, enter with contests taking place in three rings simultaneously. Organized solely by the Haringey Police and Community boxing club, the Box Cup is as popular as ever for boxers.

The club would like to also congratulate Georgia Kirkwood on being the first girl champion for the club after winning the Antrim title at 31kilos. Head coach Noel Reynolds said she has a great future in boxing.

Two boxers, Kurt Walker and Sean Montgomery also won two senior Antrim titles at 56kilos and 64kilos. Great performances by both lads and only goes to prove hard work always pays off.
