Pupils and teachers from Hunterhouse College paid a visit to Wimbledon this week.

The pupils, along with 23 students and two staff members from Larne Grammar School, met at George Best Belfast City Airport early on Thursday morning for a two day trip to London, with the main purpose of the journey being to visit the All England Lawn Tennis Championships – otherwise known as Wimbledon.

The pupils have been eagerly anticipating the start of the tournament secure in the knowledge that they had tickets for court No 2 and ground passes for the whole day. The pupils can be guaranteed some high quality tennis, hopefully watching players the likes of Serena Williams, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Roger Federer, to name but a few. The pupils indulged in the traditional eating strawberries and cream and browsing the souvenir shops to buy some gifts.

After a night at a hotel, the party will enjoy a day in London taking in some of the sights and indulging in some relaxation and retail therapy before returning home late on Friday evening. It is sure to be a hectic and memorable two days.
