Alpha Steelers are top of the Ulster League

Alpha Steelers find themselves on top of division One of the Ulster League with four impressive victories to their credit.

Ballyclare Hurricanes floundered 8-0 while both ACBC Greenwell Street and Academy B fared little better suffering 7-1 defeats in their clash with the Lisburn club while Academy A were defeated 6-2 by the hosts to give them 28 points and a lead of fourteen points from ACBC Greenwell Street who have amassed only 14 points from their three games which included a 7-1 drubbing off Ballyclare Hurricanes and a 6-2 victory over fourth placed Academy B.

Alpha Eagles top Division Two with 24 points from their four outings but were given a scare when Clogher A pushed them all the way before the Alpha side secured a 5-3 victory.

Only one point separates Academy C and two other sides Clogher A and St. Annes with 15 points while Sandelford recorded narrow 5-3 victories over Academy C and Ballyclare Typoons but could only manage two points from their matches against St Annes and Alpha Eagles.

Alpha Leopards are currently propping up Divisions 3 with only five points from their four matches with Queens A in first place with 28 points, some five points ahead of Lissaro A while Alpha Lions find themselves in a similar position at the foot of Division 6 with 11 points while Banbridge A could only manage a 4-4 draw against second placed Lissara B while 2nd Saintfield Warriors have recovered from their disappointing 7-1 defeat at the hands of the Division leaders.

Alpha Ducks are on top of Division 7 with two 8-0 wins to their credit with the unfortunate opposition being Pan Disability and Alpha Wizards while the Alpha Tyros are in third and fourth positions with 16 and 10 points respectively while pan Disability have one 4-all draw against the Alpha Wizards to their credit.
