A bright future for hurling in the Lisburn area with the introduction of a new club for 4-16 year olds

As Antrim GAA fans prepare for pre-season, head on the road for national league games and go about their late winter GAA business, on the shores of Lough Neagh & Lisburn a new hurling era is coming together in the form of Loch Mór Dál gCais.
A new hurling era is coming together in the Lisburn area in the form of Loch Mór Dál gCais. A new hurling era is coming together in the Lisburn area in the form of Loch Mór Dál gCais. The new club will offer young players from all over this region aged 4-16 to get involved and play Irelands and the worlds fastest field sport.

The club is in its first year and providing hurling for the Antrim area encompassing Aghagallon, Crumlin /Glenavy, Antrim town and Lisburn.

They want young players from all over this region aged 4-16 to get involved and play Ireland’s and the world’s fastest field sport.

Ireland’s ancient art has long struggled to take off in this area but with this new beginning, enthusiastic volunteer committee & qualified coaches, the future is bright for the sport in the area.

Training

Training is currently on at the following venues and times:-

Crumlin Integrated College on Thursday nights: 6.30pm to 7.30pm for 4-8 year olds & 7.30pm to 8.30pm for 9 & 10 year olds

Crumlin united 3G pitch on Saturdays: 11am to 12.30pm for 11-16 year olds.

All equipment including hurls and helmets are provided so come along & give it a go.

Bring your child to learn one of the most passionate cultural beautiful sports on the face of the earth, learning discipline, hand eye coordination & social skills making new friends, all this while representing his/her community.
