Woman’s injuries not life threatening

Market Street in Lisburn City Centre was closed off on Saturday afternoon (June 6) after a woman was knocked down.

It is understood the woman got out of a car but was caught up with the vehicle, possibly by catching her coat on the door. It has been reported that the car moved forward and the woman was injured.

An ambulance and fire engine were called to the scene and the woman was taken to hospital for treatment.

However, it is understood that her injuries were not life threatening.

Market Street was closed for a time on Saturday afternoon and diversions were in place along Castle Street.
