Woman walking dog in Lisburn is sexually assaulted

A MIDDLE AGED woman out walking her dog in Lisburn has been the victim of a serious sexual assault.

Detectives are appealing for information after the woman was attacked in the Knockmore Road area on Tuesday April 24. Details of the assault have only become available.

At approximately 10.15pm, the middle aged woman was walking her dog in the area of the football pitch when she was approached by an unknown male and assaulted.

The attacker is described as being approximately 6’ tall, of muscular build, with dark hair and spoke with a foreign accent.

Detectives are urging anyone who may have witnessed the assault, or who may have seen a female in distress, to contact them in the Rape Crime Unit at Ladas Drive on 0845 600 8000.
