Woman treated for slight burns after chip pan fire

A WOMAN in her 20's was treated for slight burns and smoke inhalation after a fire involving a chip pan in her detached house at Glennor Crescent, Carryduff last Wednesday evening around 5.30pm.

One fire appliance from Carryduff Fire Station responded to the fire and the woman was treated at the scene. Local Firefighters applied burn gel to the woman and dealt with the fire.

Smoke alarms fitted at the home failed to activate as they appeared to have been poorly sited.

The lady did not require ambulance or hospital treatment and suffered minor burns to her hands according to the Fire and Rescue Service.
