Wallace High School beat Methody 12-10 at Ravenhill this afternoon to book a Schools Cup final clash with RBAI later this month.

In a tight match, Wallace took the lead in the first half when out-half Neil Kilpatrick sent full-back Philip Hylands clear for the first try of the match. Andrew Cardosi added the extras for a 7-0 lead.

However, despite being the better side in the first half, Wallace trailed 10-7 at the break as Methody hit back.

Wallace secured a tense victory in the second half as Ben Finlay crossed the line for the decisive try.

A miss conversion left Wallace nervous going into the closing stages but they held on for a famous victory. They will now play RBAI at the Kingspan Stadium, Ravenhill on March 17.
