UKIP welcomes A1 junction upgrades
UKIP prospective Assembly Candidate for Lagan Valley, Brian Higginson, has welcomed proposals to improve junctions on the A1.
“In particular, I welcome the proposed installation of central safety measures,” he said. “Measures such as this will hopefully help to reduce the number of accidents and improve overall safety on the road. This positive step forward will develop much needed infrastructure along the route, with the increase of traffic using the A1 - due to it being the main arterial route from Belfast to Dublin. Hopefully this work will also result in bringing both jobs and long-term financial benefits to the local area.”
