Two men on £750,000 drug charges

Two men appeared in Craigavon Magistrates Court today (Friday, December 11) after police seized cocaine valued at £750,000 in Portadown on Wednesday.

Anthony Duggan (32), Seymour Hill House, Lisburn, and Steven McGrath (32), Bocombra Hill, Portadown are both charged with possession of cocaine on December 9 and having the drug with intent to supply.

McGrath is also charged with being concerned in the supply of a class A drug.

No bail applications were made and both men were remanded in custody to appear by way of videolink at Craigavon Magistrates Court on January 8.

In the court the officer-in-charge confirmed that Duggan has made the case he had been offered £800 to act as a courier.

Police officers stopped two vehicles in Portadown, County Armagh, on Wednesday and found the drugs in follow up searches of five properties.
