Two convicted of fisheries offences

Two men were found guilty of fisheries offences at Lisburn Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

Norman McBrien from Hillsborough Road, Lisburn has been convicted of the following fisheries offence: Section 41(1) Unlicensed angling.

McBrien was given a conditional discharge for two years, ordered to pay an offender levy of £15, costs of £100 and court costs of £57.

Also at the same court, James Doherty from Lagmore Dale, Dunmurry was convicted of the following fisheries offences: Section 41(1) Unlicensed angling and Section 164 Trespass on a fishery.

Doherty was fined £300, an offender levy of £15, costs of £150 and court costs of £57.
