Translink support for Trust staff

Translink has announced it is providing free staff transport across South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust sites to support frontline workers during the Covid-19 emergency including special bus services between the Ulster Hospital and Lagan Valley Hospital seven days a week.

In addition, a convenient staff shuttle bus service will run between Sprucefield and Lagan Valley Hospital.

The new shuttle bus services will enable staff to move between hospital sites while also ensuring social distancing rules are met. The services follow the announcement of network-wide free public transport journeys for all NHS staff and carers during the pandemic.

Philip Woods, Translink’s Head of Operational Improvement, said: “We know this is a challenging time for everyone. We’re working hard to support local communities and essential workers with our bus and rail network during this unprecedented emergency and we hope this service will make journeys easier and more accessible for health workers.”
