The Derriaghy Road in Lisburn has been closed in both directions due to a single-vehicle road traffic collision.

“Motorists should find an alternative route whilst the road is being cleared,” a PSNI spokesperson said.

At 3:50pm on Friday, Trafficwatch NI tweeted an update saying the road remains closed.

“On-Going Incident - #Derriaghy Rd #Lisburn remains CLOSED both directions while attempts made recover tanker lorry involved RTC earlier this morning - stretch road through Derriaghy from Boomers Rd to The Cutts,” the tweet said.

Police are warning motorists to slow down and drive with caution due to the icy conditions on many local roads.
