Track safety work on Antrim rail line
Translink NI Railways is reminding residents and crossing owners near the Antrim-Lisburn branch line of essential track safety works taking place between June and November 2014.
FP McCann was recently appointed as principal contractor to deliver the works, which will comprise vegetation and waste material clearance, additional drainage and track geometry improvements. There will also be improvement works to bridges and culverts and additional fencing to address trespass and unauthorised access to the railway line will be installed.
The project is scheduled to complete in November 2014, and as there will be engineering works activity on this line throughout the year and we would remind the public to keep safe and avoid trespassing or to enter the railway environment at all times.
