The Diocese has embarked upon a Year of Mission in 2015 and every parish is displaying a banner declaring that it is ‘for you’ – not just the churchgoer, but the person beyond
their gates.

The Bishop of Down and Dromore, the Rt Revd Harold Miller explains:

“A former Archbishop of Canterbury, William Temple, famously once said that, ‘The Church is the only society that exists for the benefit of those who
are not its members.’

“Especially throughout this Year of Mission 2015, that’s the message we want to send to every community in which we are placed – our doors are open and we’re here for you.”
