A 21-year-old Lisburn man whose arrest involved the use of a Taser has been charged with the attempted murder of his sister.
Curtis Orr, Woodland Avenue, Lisburn, appeared today (Friday) at Craigavon Magistrates Court.
He is charged with the attempted murder of Shannon Orr on January 1 this year.
A detective constable, who said he could connect the defendant to the charge, opposed bail.
Remanding Orr in custody to appear at Lisburn court by videolink on January 12 the District Judge said it was a very serious matter.
The Taser was used after police responded to an incident in Woodland Avenue shortly after 2am on Thursday.
A 19-year-old woman was taken to hospital for treatment to wounds.
Police said two men and a woman were also treated for injuries.
