This year Stoneyford Jubilee Committee rose to the challenge yet again when they successfully organised another Eleventh Night in the village.

The annual Twelfth celebrations kicked off in style at the War Memorial with a rousing performance by the Pride of the Village Stoneyford Flute Band.

There was an added attraction this year with the appearance of the Lambeg drums and everyone was encouraged to have a go.

There was a truly spectacular fireworks display accompanied by a lone Lambeg drummer, which proved to be an extremely popular addition to the programme.

The crowd were totally enthralled at what they were witnessing and particularly enjoyed the opportunity to participate in the finale of the display.

The evening’s festivities culminated in the lighting of the traditional Stoneyford beacon by former Lisburn City Mayor Cecil Calvert.
